"Art is part of survival; art is part of the human spirit, an unquenchable expression of who we are. Art is one of the ways in which we say, 'I am alive, and my life has meaning.'"
As a classically trained violinist, I have had the opportunity to study with some of the best and most patient teachers in the world. It is a privilege to pass on their legacy to enthusiastic and aspiring musicians of all ages, levels, and interests. As an artist and a teacher, I consider the whole person. I customize each lesson in order to set my students up for the success and enjoyment of studying such an emotionally and physically demanding instrument. Having received my Suzuki certification in 2010, I work to integrate the best of both worlds- traditional and Suzuki methods- into my instruction at all levels of study. With a passion for performance and expression, I encourage my students to become involved in recitals, orchestra, chamber music, group class, and department events to inspire the heart of this performing art.
